Changing Heart and Mind: Equalizing Self and Others from Meaningful to Behold
All living beings want to be happy and free from suffering; the happiness and suffering of others are in no way different from the happiness and suffering of our own. In this way, we are all the same.
As we meditate deeply on this thought and contemplate its meaning, we can change our mind from a state of self-centeredness to one that sees others’ happiness and freedom from suffering as important as our own, as well as develop a warm feeling of compassion and love that touches our heart.
Such a good mind and kind heart are an incomparable treasure not possessed by many other beings, and the numerous benefits they create ripple outward and benefit all those we come in contact with on a daily basis. How wonderful!
What to expect:
- Classes are approximately one hour long.
- Classes include two guided meditations and a talk on Buddhism for everyday living.
- Occasionally Q&A is offered at the end of the class.
- Although part of a series, each class is self-contained so you can check out any single class or jump into the series midstream.
