Today we celebrate Buddha’s first turning of the Wheel of Dharma (Dharmachakra), when he gave the very first Dharma teachings in this world.
Through this historic, auspicious deed, countless beings in this world now have the opportunity to practice completely reliable methods that lead to true, lasting happiness. Thank you, Buddha, for your inconceivable kindness.
We also remember the extraordinary kindness of our precious Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition, and celebrate the immeasurable benefit he has brought to the people of this world.
Our resident teacher, Gen Kelsang Menla, will provide a short teaching followed by the practice of Offering to the Spiritual Guide.
This practice includes a tsog offering, so you can bring a vegetarian food offering with you if you wish.
