Mantra and Mala Making Workshop

  • KMC Texas 1875 Laws Street Dallas, TX, 75202 United States (map)

We have reached our maximum capacity for this event.

Ever wanted to know more about mantras and making your own mala? Join us on this special Saturday workshop!

During this peaceful half-day workshop, we'll combine both teachings and explore this traditional art by making your own 108-bead mala to take home with you.

We begin with a teaching with Kadampa teacher Carol Salerno, who will give an explanation to the meaning and purpose of mantras, and learn how to use a Buddhist mala in conjunction with mantra recitation to improve your peace of mind, compassion and wisdom. This will be followed by a practical hands-on workshop where you can make your own mala, guided by Jason Cohen. (Beads and craft equipment provided).

After lunch, in the optional final session, you will receive Ayra Tara's mantra and will be able to engage in Tara prayers and mantra recitation to bless your mala.

A delicious vegetarian lunch served in our third floor community space is included in the registration fee.

Everyone welcome!
