Invoking Protection - Calling on all the Buddhas - Full Day Retreat and Kangso Puja
We all need protection in our lives. The personal challenges we face, the world we live in and the karma we carry can block our spiritual growth and be a source of suffering and fears. It is a beautiful reality that the protection of spiritual guides and enlightened beings is available to us at all times. In order to access this protection and guidance we turn to a divine source. Through meditation, mantra and special prayers we can purify our mind of negativity, gather positive energy and invoke the power of protection for ourselves, our families and for all beings.
“We should recite requesting prayers to the enlightened Buddhas, while maintaining deep faith in them. This is a simple method for us to receive the Buddhas’ blessings continually. We should also join group prayers, known as ‘pujas’, organized at Buddhist Temples or Prayer Halls, which are powerful methods to receive Buddha’s blessings and protection.”

Modern Buddhism
This special two day event will focus on two special pujas or chanted prayers, Offering to the Spiritual Guide (OSG) and Kangso (also known as Melodious Drum Victorious in all Directions).
Through practice of OSG we will become stronger in our spiritual practice by calling upon the Spiritual Guides and developing a connection with them. In Kangso puja we call upon many Dharma Protectors. These beings protect us from harm and negative influences, help us overcome the obstacles that block our spiritual experience, and arrange all the necessary conditions for our spiritual practice, happiness and health.
Everyone is welcome to learn about and experience the peace and protection that comes from calling upon the Buddhas and invoking their blessings.
You are welcome to come for part or all of this event.
