Love and Loneliness - Beginner's Half Day Retreat
Do you want to feel more connected to others?
Do you want to feel less alone?
Through meditation practice we can connect with a feeling of peace and contentment, naturally arising within, and open our mind the reality of our interconnectedness. Buddhist wisdom teaches us that we are not so different from others. Every living being has the same basic wish and this essential similarity connects us all. We all want to be valued and accepted, to be happy and to avoid suffering. From this point of view we share a fundamental common desire.
Even when we feel lonely, we are never truly alone. We exist in a web of kindness that connects us to other living beings who, even though we may not realize it, are contributing to our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Becoming more aware of this reality helps improve our feeling of connection and relationship with others.
Please join us for this half day retreat to explore how Buddhist teachings and meditation practice can offer a cure for loneliness and enhance our existing relationships.
