Empowerment of Buddha Amitayus

Buddha explained that our human life is our most precious possession because we can use it to train in the spiritual path. In order to accomplish spiritual realizations, we definitely need a long life. In this empowerment ceremony, we will receive the special blessings of Buddha Amitayus and learn how to increase our life-span, wisdom and good fortune. In this way, we can make our human life truly meaningful. Everyone is welcome to this event regardless of previous experience.

Buddha Prajnaparamita Empowerment

Buddha taught that all of our problems come from ignorance. With the light of wisdom we can overcome the darkness of our ignorance and understand the way things really exist. By receiving Prajnaparamita's special blessings, we can discover the truth and free ourself and others from suffering and confusion. Everyone is welcome to this event regardless of previous experience.

Buddha said that all living beings have the potential to attain the supreme inner peace of Buddhahood. When, out of compassion for all living beings, we dedicate ourself to realizing our pure potential we are following the path to enlightenment. In this course, there will be the opportunity to take the Bodhisattva Vow and learn how to live a life of great meaning and altruism.

Arya Tara is a female enlightened being whose very nature is wisdom and compassion. Tara literally means “Rescuer”; it is said that she bestows her blessings as swift as the wind. Through receiving her blessings we can quickly be freed from all fear and
protected immediately from dangers, sickness and other obstacles. In these difficult times, we can request Arya Tara to bless all the people of this world. For the first time ever in Lubbock, Kelsang Jampa will grant the blessing empowerment of Green Tara and give commentary to this practice.
