Buddhism is a religion rich with symbolism and ritual practice. Through becoming familiar with these practices and connecting with their deeper meaning, we can develop a relationship with holy beings and thus receive their blessings and special care. In this day course we will learn the basics of how to create a sacred space by setting up a shrine, making offerings and prostrations. By engaging in these activities while understanding their meaning, we can be continually inspired in our spiritual practice and make swift progress year after year.

Each Day will consist of teaching, prayers, meditation, discussion, and demonstration.

Cost $35 for the day including a vegetarian lunch 

Learning to Meditate

June 21, 2008  10am - 4pm

Learning to meditate is the best method to reduce our stress and therefore improve our daily happiness. This course gives a clear introduction to basic meditation practice - it is suitable for beginners and ideal for people with busy schedules. In one day we will learn the benefits of meditation and how to meditate, as well as have the opportunity to try out these simple and powerful techniques for developing a peaceful mind.

Each day course consists of guided meditations, teachings and discussion, and includes a healthy vegetarian lunch.

Cost $35 for the day including a vegatarian lunch.
